Refined coal is a product unlocked at experience level 33.
Refined coal are used to make jewelry, top hats, and to upgrade the personal train in the player's town.
Like all products, it is stored in the barn.
Making refined coal
Refined coal is made in the Smelter.
To make refined coal, players need the following ingredients, in the specified quantities:

It takes 6 hours to make one bar, and 5 hours 6 minutes in a fully mastered smelter. Each refined coal gives players 13 experience points.
Selling refined coal
- Refined coal can be bought or sold for a maximum price of 1,080
for 10 bars. - Buying the ingredients required to make a bar costs 30 .

Strategy tips
- As is the case for all Smelter products, completing a truck order requesting one or more bars rewards players with a random voucher.
- Boat orders never ask for refined coal.

- In real life, refined coal is simply pure coal that has been polished and cleaned. This is usually done before the coal is burned.
