Onions are field crops unlocked at experience level 68.
They are used to make broccoli soup, grilled onions, onion dogs, onion soup, potato soup, salsa, spicy pasta and summer salad.
Like all crops, they are stored in the silo.
Growing onions
Onions are grown in fields by planting another onion (either previously harvested or purchased). Each plot yields 2 plants (net gain of 1 plant) and 8 experience points, and takes 5 hours to mature.
Selling onions
- Onions can be sold or bought for a maximum price of 396
for 10 units.

Boat orders
Boat orders ask for 8 to 12 onions per crate, up to a total of 36 per boat.
Strategy tips
- Onions can seldom be found in the Daily Dirt. Selling them at a lower price is not recommended.
- Recipes ask for two to three onions, so you need to make sure you always have enough in your silo.
- You need salsa to make tacos and quesadillas.
