Feel free to make actual improvements to the articles, such as fixing mistakes (both data mistakes and spelling and grammar mistakes), adding missing data, or making future page maintenance easier; however, just making changes which don't improve anything just clutter the page history, so please don't do them.
I'm just afraid that if people read this they are going to get confused or think that you have some kind of inside information. It's probably best if you can not add that stuff. Or change it to read something like "these are the crops I wish they would add to the game". Writing dates and years next to the crops makes it read like fact. Thanks.
Only within the last year have we had a small handful of Hay Day YouTubers using the Wiki to advertise their channels. All of these popular YouTubers are getting the .pnf files (and possibly some additional info about each update in advance) directly from Supercell and the Hay Day team. I'm not sure if they're being sent the files or there is a dropbox account they Hay Day has given them access to. Either way, they have the files. Generally, they contribute little to nothing to the Wiki itself. I would think that at a minimum they could provide one of us the files or access to the files. I've contacted GizmoSpike (no response) and RedKnight ("I'll set you up, mate" -- then nothing). I don’t want to go to the extent of threatening them to "hand over the files" or "Post images when you receive them", but if they don't want to support the Wiki and are just using us to get likes and views, then we should consider blocking them. What do you think?
No need to pick them off the YouTuber slides from your Sandbox. I already have them from another YouTubers slides. I've seen them with black backgrounds (yours), yellow (mine), and white. None are the transparent backgrounds.
Since the filenames are already set, whenever GizmoSpike, RedKnight, or someone else can upload the transparent .png files, they'll just replace those yellow background ones I've uploaded.
There are also lots of other new images that Supercell provided to them with this Spring 2020 update, such as the 4 stages of crop growth, new decorations, derby images, etc., but at least we've got the 3 new crops, 11 new products, and 2 new machines uploaded in yellow.
Alpha your comments are rude and uncalled for. You're going to threaten me for not giving you png's? We are given things from SuperCell and are legally not allowed to share any information with anyone else ahead of time. I am sorry that I did not "hand over the files" sooner but it has been barely 4 days since the update came out. At the absolute earliest that I would have been able to give you the pngs would have been Monday after the update was released. I have been busy. There is a lot more important stuff going on in the world atm than to be bickering over the fact that barely 4 days after the update 11 products, 3 crops and 2 machines don't have a picture.
Glad that we were finally able to get your attention.
The Hay Day Wiki is not looking to be updated with image files before Supercell releases their update to the general public, but we do think of the Wiki as a go to site for Hay Day enthusiasts. I would hope that the YouTubers that post links to their channels here would be as anxious to support the Wiki with updates as they are to generate their own Hay Day YouTube content, especially those like yourself that are Admins.
As you can see, many of us, to include myself, Hunngryhippo, Pory here, and UniversePoker777, immediately set to updating the Wiki the day that the Spring 2020 update was released. Some data was even added in anticipation from the various YouTuber videos like yours. All I want is to maintain this Wiki and keep it as current as possible. Your help is necessary and we all look forward to your contributions. Thanks Jennifer.
I'll try and make sure that I upload the images here as soon as I am able to from now on. I just changed some of the images on the pages but I don't have time to do them all. I will upload them all into the files though if you want to change them.
I see no reason to categorize products by their ingredients. The full list of uses can be found on each ingredient's page (and can be edited easily if something was missed), and the list of ingredients can be found on each product.
Your comments are appreciated, but most of them apply only to certain experience levels in the game and are not strategies. If you'd like to comment on which items you observe that sell quickly or for which price in the Roadside Shop, or which cannot be easily found in the Daily Dirt, please make use of the Comments section at the bottom of each page. Thanks.
I'm just trying to help this wiki since some pages about goods, especially the ones with double-digit levels, don't have strategies. And most people ignore the comments, since they think they're just "opinions", even though they are quite realistic. Also, in what ways they apply to experience levels? In other words, put the facts and not UniversePoker777's opinion comments as strategies, since you are very experienced.
Can you revert my edits on the silver, gold, and platinum ores, since my computer won't let me do it, and you are level 170+, nearly 180, while I'm only level 29. I don't want to hurt this wiki, I wanted to add "strategies", and they are actually my opinions, and since you have very high experience, you put the strategies on the goods without them and the ones with my opinions. I now know not to put opinions as fact, and I'm asking you for help. Thanks, and feel free to reply to me.
You'll find that EVERYTHING sells at max price...some just sell quicker than others. During Valley seasons, events, derby events, or global events you'll see a different mix of items in the Daily Dirt. Noting the obvious that this sells poorly or that isn't easy to find isn't a strategy tip. Please restrict them to the comments section. Thanks.
