Fishing nets are products unlocked at experience level 30.
They are used to catch fish that can otherwise be caught with red lures.
Like all fishing gear, they are stored in the tackle box and cannot be bought or sold.
Making fishing nets
Fishing nets are made in the Net Maker. Players do not need anything to make them.
It takes 4 hours to make a net, and 3 hours and 24 minutes in a fully mastered machine. Each net gives players 7 experience points.
Using fishing nets
Each net must occupy a fishing spot for 20 hours. Then, it catches 3 fish fillets at once, the fish can otherwise be caught with red lure. However, the fish caught do not count for fishing book rewards since players directly get the fillets. The fishing spot can be reused right away - there's no cooldown time after using a net.
Strategy
- Use nets in fishing spots which require a longer cooldown period (e.g. 4h) because there's no cooldown time after using a net. For fishing spots with shorter cooldown period, use lures.
- Nets are good for inactive users. If you are active, you could catch 10 fish (by using lures) instead of 3 (by using nets) within same period of time.
