Coins are the main currency in Hay Day. They are used to buy almost every item and are needed to progress in the game.
Coins can be earned in various ways, though if players are completely stuck they can buy coins with diamonds for 10 coins per diamond[citation needed] or with real money.
Buying items
As there are far too many items in Hay Day to list in one article, it is best to refer to the products, buildings, animals, animal shelters, trees and bushes and decorations pages. The cost of these items may depend on the player's level and the number of identical items already owned.
Coins are the only currency used in roadside shops.
Some decorations and non-producing animals require diamonds or vouchers instead.
Obtaining coins
Through in-game means
Players can obtain coins by selling items in roadside shops and Visiting customers, completing truck, boat and town orders, finding them in mystery boxes, spinning the Wheel of Fortune, popping Tom's balloon, using diamonds, and much more.
Using real currency
Players can also buy coins with real money. The below table illustrates the prices of each "pack" of coins.
