Coins are the main currency in Hay Day. Coins are used to buy every basic item in Hay Day and are needed to progress in the game. Coins can be earned in various ways, though if the player is completely stuck they can buy coins with diamonds or with real money.
Buying items
Almost every item in the game (with the exception of some decorations and the non-production animals, which need diamonds and vouchers, respectively) is bought with coins. As there are far too many items in Hay Day to list in one article, it is best to refer to the products, buildings, animals, animal shelters, trees and bushes and decorations pages. The cost of these items depend on their availability in terms of level and the quantity of how much the player has of the item.
Coins are the only currency used in the roadside shop.
Obtaining coins
Through in-game means
You can obtain coins by selling items in the roadside shop, completing orders, winning them in the Wheel of Fortune, selling items to visiting customers, finding them in mystery boxes, and much more.
Through buying with real currency
You can also buy coins with real money. The below table illustrates the prices of each "pack" of coins.
