Coins are the main currency in Hay Day. They are used to buy almost every item and are needed to progress in the game.
Coins can be earned in various ways, though if players are completely stuck they can buy coins with real money.
Obtaining coins through in-game means
Players are given 350 coins at the start of the game. They can then obtain coins by:
- completing truck, boat and town orders.
- selling items in roadside shops and to visitors.
- finding them in mystery boxes (random)
- spinning the Wheel of Fortune (random)
- popping Tom's balloon (random)
Obtaining coins using real currency
Players can also buy coins with real money. The below table illustrates the prices of each "pack" of coins. The number of coins the player gets in each pack seem to increase with the player's levels.

The cost of these items may depend on the player's experience level and the number of identical items already owned.
